This morning, I received an email from Tesla (TSLA) that announced the final date to avail the 0% APR (annual percentage rate) on the purchase of new Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
According to Tesla, qualified inventory Model 3 and Model Y vehicles are available at 0% APR on a 60 month financing.
The last date to get 0% APR on Tesla Model 3 and Model Y cars in the United States is 15th December. To avail this offer you must place your order before this deadline.
The Tesla email reads:
There’s still time to get 0% APR* financing on a new Model Y or Model 3 when you order by December 15, 2024, and take delivery by December 31, 2024.
*0% APR promotional rate available for well-qualified buyers with excellent credit who order a new Model Y or Model 3 between October 21, 2024, and December 15, 2024. Must take delivery by December 31, 2024. Model Y available only for terms up to 60 months and requires a minimum down payment of 20% ($7,500 Federal Tax Credit will be applied, if eligible). Monthly payment of $16.67 per $1,000 financed at 0% for 60 months. Model 3 available only for 36-month term and requires a minimum down payment of 20% ($7,500 Federal Tax Credit will be applied, if eligible). Monthly payment of $27.78 per $1,000 financed at 0% for 36 months. Not all applicants will qualify. Promotion is subject to change or end at any time and cannot be applied retroactively. Used vehicles and enterprise sales not eligible.
0% APR is not the only perk Tesla is offering if you order by Dec 15th and take delivery on or before December 31st. The automaker is also offering 3 months of free unlimited Supercharging and Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Tesla’s email details this offer as:
Customers who take delivery of a new vehicle between November 14, 2024 and December 31, 2024 are eligible for three months of free Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and Supercharging. Offer cannot be postponed to a later time or be transferred to any other account or vehicle, and is subject to change at any time. An alternative option will not be made available to those who purchase Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Used vehicles and business orders are excluded from this promotion.
Looking at the Tesla inventory website, I could mostly find Model Ys with 0% APR. I tried to look for a Tesla Model 3 with 0% APR but wasn’t able to find one, at least in California.
However, there are a lot of Model Y electric SUVs available in the Tesla inventory that qualify for the 0% APR financing. This is a great opportunity to get a Tesla vehicle at a lowe cost and 0% APR which has the latest Autopilot FSD hardware (HW4) as well.
For example, the inventory has many Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD base variants availabe at the price of $44,540. If you qualify for the full $7,500 Federal Tax Credit, the vehicle’s price instantly drops to $37,040 (federal tax credit deduction is directly applied on price at the time of the vehicle purchase).
It will be even better if you can apply and qualify for state-level tax credits and rebate schemes like in California.
The discounts don’t end here. Tesla just recently doubled its Referral Program perks. If you use a referral code of an existing Tesla owner to buy the 0% APR Model 3 or Model Y, you get additional $2,000 off of the vehicle’s price.
The additional $2K discount via the Refrerral Program drops the price of a Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD to $35,040.
