In the last few days, Tesla (TSLA) has shipped a large number of Foundation Series Cybertrucks to Canada.
Since yesterday, many Tesla enthusiasts and Cybertruck reservation holders from Canada have posted pictures and videos of Cybertruck shipments reaching their local Tesla store (scroll below).
There were strong reports of Cybertruck deliveries starting in Canada this week. But the influx of these vehicles reaching different cities of the country was just spotted yesterday.
According to reports, Tesla is starting Cybertruck deliveries in Canada today.
Tesla started taking orders only from reservation holders in Canada in August. This was the time when the EV pickup truck’s Canadian prices were revealed.
The majority of Canadian Tesla fans and Cybertruck reservation holders expressed their concerns over the high prices of the Tesla truck. However, the massive number of these trucks seen recently on Canadian highways and at Tesla stores suggests that many people chose to buy one.
Considering the fact that all of these Cybertrucks spotted across Canada are the pricier Foundation Series versions, the massive number of orders Tesla has received is overwhelming.
In the United States, Tesla charged a 2,0000 USD premium for the Foundation Series Cybertrucks. But in Canada, there is no official figure on how much extra the Canadians are paying for the Foundation Series.
Tesla’s Canadian Cybertruck online ordering page/configurator is still taking orders for the Foundation Series. It shows an estimated delivery date of November to December. This might also mean that the automaker has sent a portion of trucks in anticipation of getting Foundation Series Cybertruck orders during the holiday season in Canada.
As Tesla phases out Foundation Series Cybertruck orders in Canada, only then we will have the actual prices of the non-Foundation Series for the country (see here for US prices).
