Tesla (TSLA) has once again filled its investors, owners, and enthusiasts with excitement by officially announcing the Tesla Robotaxi unveiling event. The automaker also sent invitation emails yesterday.
Adding to the fuel to the excitement around Tesla Robotxi is its unseen design. The electric automaker has done a good job concealing the design of this product throughout its design and prototype development phase. This is commendable in the age of cameras and smartphones.
Since we don’t know what exactly it will look like, the best guesses at the design are fan-made sketches or 3D renders of the product. @Teslaconomics on X (Twitter) is one such social media account that has produced numerous concept designs of the Tesla Cybercab robotaxi.
Tesla Robotaxi renders are based on the Tesla Robotaxi official concept render and images of the early design mockup seen at the Tesla Design Studio in Hawthorne.
A two-seater small electric vehicle that is super-efficient in energy consumption and drives autonomously (in a geofenced area at first) is Tesla’s target with the Cybercab robotaxi. Tesla and its vibrant CEO Elon Musk will present and demonstrate these capabilities at the Robotaxi unveiling event at Warner Bros. Studio in Los Angeles on October 10th.
Before the real design of the Tesla Robotaxi is finally unveiled on 10th October, looking at these creative ideas from Tesla fans is very interesting. Fans keep guessing the look and feel of an unveiled Tesla every time throughout the automaker’s history — the only time they didn’t get close was the unorthodox and low-poly Cybertruck.
According to Elon Musk, unveiling of the Tesla Robotaxi is going to be the 2nd most significant event for Tesla since it revealed the Tesla Model 3 back in 2016 (can’t believe that I covered that event, it has been more than 8 years).
“10/10 will be the most significant moment for Tesla since the unveil of the Model 3,” a Tesla (TSLA) investor wrote on X — to which Musk replied “In my opinion, yes”.
The unveiling of the Tesla Robotaxi was originally planned for 8/8 (August 8th) but it got delayed as Elon Musk asked for a design change to the vehicle at the last minute. So, the event was rescheduled to 10/10.
Let’s look at more design renders of the Tesla Robotaxi by @Teslaconomics below.
